Seriously though, you've gotta mine the iphone for good ideas cause there's just so much work being done on it (lots of users + lots of developers = lots of ideas to raid). Don't let what you assume Apple\Steve Jobs think put you off..

Those 'limitations' are put more for capitalistic and financial reasons (lower support costs, simplify development to lower costs, etc) than to push any ideologies I'd reckon.
