Any student of the social sciences will tell you that few things are certain and evolution never, ever follows a straight path. All OS' have some great programs. What's wrong with enjoying aspects of any that interest you? Maybe in the future Linux will become a hegemony along the lines of Windows 10 years ago. Maybe not. Although I believe in and have brand loyalty, the name of the company interests me less than if the product it offers is the best one for me.
