Everything that is said during these dialogues will be used as input for the expert co-creation session before the Summit. Feel free to come up with anything that you find applicable!

Hello Marieke,

From my personal perspective, I think that sharing has to go beyond the platform. I shouldn't need to have a specific device or to be subscribed to a specific service in order to share my media and to see media shared by others. And off course, I shouldn't need to use a different service for the type of media I want to share (Flicker for pictures, ?? for my audio, blogspot for my writing, etc).

When I was thinking on a system for media sharing, the first one I thought was a kind of Sharepoint on steroids.

However, since we want it to be very widely available, it should be web based. It should allow me to share any type of media, and to have the option to share it openly, without requiring subscription to a service. If I want to share a picture with a friend and he doesn't have an account, I should be able to send him a password protected link and that's it. And its default rules should be defined to protect my privacy, don't people get tired of getting their life exposed by a simple Google search?

Maybe Ovi can become something like that...?
