Ok, basic gstreamer pipeline from camera to screen:

v4l2src device=/dev/video0 ! autovideosink

For high resolution (back) camera, it is /dev/video0 and for the front web camera, it is /dev/video1.

The output needs to be massaged, so that the aspect ratio is correct, etc.
