It's not auto-detecting the finger.
You press the Hand button and Xournal goes in Pan mode and you pan around. Tap the Pen or other tool and you're back in Edit mode.

If you've got a specific idea, throw it in, we'll talk about it.

Sometimes I forget it's a note-taking tool and you usually use few colours to highlight / annotate text.
Now that I think about it, a new feature would be highlighters in different colours.

The Diablo version should come right after the Fremantle one will be released. I'll recompile it for Diablo and make the small inevitable changes I'll have to do.
