I do believe that flash will have some SERIOUS competition thanks to this plugin, the HTML5 canvas object, and much improved performance of Javascript across all browsers. I'm really glad that this software is open, as it should greatly improve the rate of adoption. Of course, mass adoption of O3D will not happen overnight.
I'm surprised there's not more interest in this AMAZING piece of tech, but I suspect it will become more popular as people realize the potential. Think of how easy it will be to create write-once-run-anywhere games!
I hope that this finds its way to maemo, as I do believe that it will result in an erruption of development as the cost of entry will be lowered.
