Last Sunday we reached the limit of 375 participants. I basically edited the page hiding the link, since it was Sunday and I didn't know a better way to close the registration.

Since then 2 people have managed to register, and we will have to reject them down unless they are a legitimate exception. We have still some slots until 400 participants left for those exceptions:

- Approved speakers that hadn't registered before knowing that their sessions were approved.

- Approved journalists and bloggers.

- Exceptional maemo.org VIP members that couldn't confirm registration before (e.g. because of pending visa)

- Exceptional Nokia partners that couldn't confirm registration before (e.g. because of pending travel approval from their companies)

- People directly involved in the organization joining the team at this late point.

I will be the responsible of handling these exceptions. I got already one email with a request for registration that I will have to request since it doesn't fit in any of the types of exceptions.

Rejecting potential participants is not funny but everybody needs to understand that we have a limit of participants defined by the limits of space in the Summit premises and related security policies and insurances.

We have doubled the Summit dimensions in all senses (participants, sessions, surface, budget...) and this probably the highest limit for any sustainable growth this year.

All the sessions in the 3 main rooms will be recorded with video and everybody is invited to report about the sessions and the event through their preferred channels. Indeed, it's not the same as being there but please understand that this is the best we can offer after 3 months of open registration and a hard limit now reached.
