Canonical make proprietary software:
- UbuntuOne (sever side).
- Landscape.
- Launchpad is remained longtime proprietary.

Proprietary firmware is a problem too, but the source code of firmware can understand how a device works internally and there is still no viable economic model for material "Free" (for this moment).
