Why would they stop selling if demand is high? I think they would just start making another batch and take the orders and ship them on a first ordered first shipped basis.

For them to stop taking orders is very strange...unless Amazon needs a product to be avaialbe to ship within a certain amount of time before they will allow pre-order, and now it is beyond their allowable time frame due to a delay or something so they have stopped taking pre-orders.
