Okay, I'll play.

You'll need drivers; I'm assuming that porting the kernel driver and the shell script to OMAP architecture wouldn't be unsurmountable (although the driver is for the 2.4 kernel, so a caveat might be in order). From the comments on the page you quoted, it seems that even after that not everything might be hunky-dory.

The 64K dollar question is obviously: Why?
