your argument is old fashioned. as long as maemo just works and is relatively easy to use. the high end stuff wouldn't bother the average person. this is where maemo could potentially be a win for both high end users and people who just need a elegant phone with elegant interface.

there is no reason for N900 to be 180grams. it doesn't even come with a glass screen lol. even if it was 180grams...what 18mm thick....come on. for a phone as big as the iphone but twice as thick....almost. with the similar hardware inside an iphone.
I guess personal responsibility that often in media seems to be lacking when talking about North American people and I don't mean Canadians now, might be one reason why Xterm is not considered mass market feature. When will the first law suit come forth when people claim they didn't know you could ruin your phone with it? And yeah I know it might be hard to brick N900 but might still be possible?

And comparing the weight of N900 and iPhone, I rather have HW keyboard AND removable battery if those alone bring the weight where it is now.
