But I also think recent competitors have shown that it is more about the quality of the features than the quantity of them. For instance, you can sell really a great deal of devices, even if it has a closed ecosystem, no MMS, no ASR etc. Do certain things a lot better than others rather than trying to match everything that is already available.
Haha of course you aren't better by simply having feaures other phones don't. What I was saying was you shouldn't say that the lack of a feature is ok because other phones on that level don't do it too.

For example, price to implement, studies based on usage, time it takes to implement and how it would impact release date. Or how you can make other features better using the time you would've spent on MMS.

Not lack of MMS is ok because the iphone doesn't do it either. though that's not true anymore.
