The camera button would actually be easier for lefties. It's located at the top right of the device. So if you're holding the device landscape, then you could press the button with your right hand index finger (if you're a lefty), or your left hand ring finger (if you're a righty).

Hopefully, the button is easy to press!

Of course, any modifier would do. Even covering the proximity sensor, or one of the keypad keys. I figured the camera button would be the most convenient given the options.
