Stereoprism, just for kicks try this.....copy my old /usr/share/dosbox directory to your internal memory (a copy this directory can be obtained here). Now see if your directional pad works when you run games through RubyBox. This was an initial fix for me awhile back. If it doesn't work, just delete the /usr/share/dosbox directory from your internal memory.
