Not hating, first of all I'm just one person on this forum, second I very much appreciate your effort (and thanked you in your posts!), third some kind of 'standard N900 icon' is very useful IMO and lack of that is definately not your fault or anything. I was thinking, how does the device look when it is before you: Now ask yourself the question: what is typical of this look? 1) The screen inside the device. That is well done, except the proportions are a bit off. 2) The NOKIA logo (which you cannot use but continue reading) and the lighter grey shade 3) As well as the camera/proximity_sensor/and other stuff on the left side 4) Also, if you look carefully, the left and right side are not straight, they are slightly round/curved. Side note: since your icon is small the above is not easy to implement. In small icons, details might be less important relevant (and even omitted) than in big icons.
