Hi guys,

It was quite an inspiring and fun experience reading this post.
Also the idea is rather nice , not taking in consideration that a big conglomerate like Nokia, will not show much interest of the creationist struggles of a bunch of technological enthusiasts geeks like yourselves, since I am positive that they are paying loads of money to advertising companies that will come with something at the end, or they already had, a slogan who has "good to print" from them.
But the spirit of this thread, also spread in every reply of this forum stands by itself, and it has everything what a company target client wishlist might . Enthusiasm. Which is rather difficult to find it anywhere else.
How many threads are up here, and the device is not even release yet??!! Unbelievable !!!
So I am getting my personal touch, as a fellow enthusiast, and I come up with something.
But first some points.
- a slogan must be by itself extremely simple, 2 words or maximum 3, you will not see successfully slogan phrases.
(Goethe once said, "if a rainbow would last for more than 15 min, nobody will see it")
ex: Nike : Just do it, Coke: Always Coca Cola, Seat: Auto emocion, even Nokia: Connecting people...etc....the only one that I liked an it costs more than few words is, General Electric's..."If you can dream it, we can do it"
- what ever is genial is SIMPLE. they are Synonyms.
- what I liked so far are:

"linux inside" - that is what we are talking about after all, linux's spirit , it's a free world...opened and creative, future inside, and is a slogan that "intel inside" deserves as an opponent, but....what is linux's knowledge or awareness area? limited so far, but the slogan is future oriented and is very powerful, has the potential to spread the Linux spirit all over, the power of spreading education. Is the best in my opinion but a little bit future oriented and not present related, for immediate market interest.

"awesome included" - still good but this can be also a slogan for suzuki bikes as well. linux is overrated like and this is downrated like.

(this is genial also and inspired me a lot, simple and genial, ....I will use this in my further expose)
...and many more , the comic ones were very funny

soooo, my idea is as simple as that....

Nokia: Connecting People
N900 : Connected

.... and is only ONE word

Got the point?.....they've tried , they've tried and know they've reached some end.....it's rather true . The only thing "bad" about this is that by adopting this, they will be in a position of accepting that what was before were searches, but this is what is all about, is somehow included in the spirit of the "flagship" concept, ever better than before...

This idea in conjunction with "livefreeordie" scenario can work like a charm...

"on an empty black background with a green "_" blinking and some midi specific audio .....this sequence:

NOKIA _
_
_
_ Connecting People

NOKIA N900 _
_
_ Connected

What do you think?

PLEASE forgive my comments, my subjectiveness, an my long reply. It took me half of bottle of vodka to feel free to write my dumb ideas.

Also: in the spirit that a slogan must not be related with what it does:

N900: The 4th dimension

or

N900: myPhone

I rest my case
