I already have mine on pre-order, because its a true Linux OS.

I got sick of Windows mobile and especially the crappy Qualcomm chipset with its aweful drivers on Windows. Also 99% of WM software seems to cost $15, even if its a simple mundane application. The quality of the software does not seem all that great either.

Android on the other hand, just doesn't appeal.

Overall, its the hardware accelerated OS based on Debian and tipped the scale for me. As soon as I read about the N900 I knew I had to get it. The idea of having the same flexibility and drivers properly optimised for the hardware. I would never try to write Python code on Windows Mobile, its just too slow and clunky. On the N900 I think it may be totally plausible though, and that is cool.

Do not get my wrong, its certainly not perfect. I too would have been happier if the screen had been a little bit bigger, the camera a little bit better, but I have been using my Xperia X1 for almost a year now at only 3" and coped so it will seem like a HUGE upgrade gaining even 0.5". My only worry is the camera looks like it might not be quite as good due to squeezing more megapixels into such a small lens and sensor.
