Just reading this forum as I have a PPC-6700 and I am thinking of purchasing a N800.

Has anyone tried USB Modem application instead of PDANet?

I recently upgraded my PPC 6700 to ROM 3.3 using Colonel's Custom Beta 2 and USB Modem has allowed the PPC-6700 to have both bluetooth and USB DUN connections with both Windows XP and Mac OS X.... so maybe it will be robust enough to work with the N800....

Please give it a try... there is a Demo download available that is good for 15 days or 30 connects whichever comes first....
