Well as far as I know.. this won't happen at all... Since on my N97 when I connect the microUSB onto any computer it will instantly start charging.. and then it will ask you what type of connection do you want it to connect (PC Suite, Data, or media).. But if you leave it on that screen or press cancel it won't do anything except charge the phone.. so I expect the N900 to do the same exact thing..
