Here are 2 recent poor experiences with the n900:

-bbc iplayer from the browser is unwatchable
- the Vimeo video from the browsers is unwatchable

Could be pre-release firmware issues, software not optimized or simply too process intensive for the phone. Something to re-test on the final firnware I guess
