I spoke with a guy at Nokia USA and he said the release date is pushed to mid-November. I asked him can I trust that because Nokia USA told me it was going to be released at the end of September to beginning of October to mid October to this week to next week and now mid November. He told me that this will be the last push.

Then I asked him another question and I'd like your feedback on this part. I asked him if there was a benefit to ordering from Nokia USA over another place like Amazon because Nokia is selling the N900 for $650 and Amazon is $582. He told me that if I buy from Nokia that they will honor the warranty because other places may have received their devices from overseas and may have an IMEI for a different country. I at first had my pre-order with Nokia USA but changed it to Amazon because of the price difference (that and no tax and free shipping). Now I'm worried about my Amazon order because he said Amazon could be getting their devices from a foreign source. Is this a cause for concern?

Thanks!
