Never again will I trust their chips. My Xperia X1 was 528Mhz, does that mean the N900 will be only very slightly faster? Nope! Because its like comparing a PIII 1Ghz to a P4 1Ghz to a Core 2 Solo 1Ghz, they are very different beasts performance wise despite the same technical speed.

The reason Qualcomm are pushing 1Ghz chips is because their previous generation (as in the Xperia X1) were very poor performers so they need more Mhz to compare to OMAP chips. I wouldn't be at all surprised if a 1Ghz Qualcomm is still slower than the N900.
