That's ridiculous. Some of the best programmers I've known have been broke as hell, and some of the worst I've known have been rich kids out of college with money to burn.

In retrospect, I think it's probably more to pay for administrative overheard, and with that in mind it's not too bad at all. So I retract my outrage
