Thanks for starting this thread. I just placed my order with Amazon.
I also ponied up for the 3-year warranty for $50. I almost NEVER buy the warranty, but it seems a pretty good deal for a piece of electronics with a big touchscreen that I'll be carrying (and dropping) [edit: NOTE: dropping not covered by Amazon Square Trade Warranty] on a regular basis. Here's hoping I just wasted $50 on a warranty I'll never use, but that I'll be happy with the other $583 spent!
