I've had a similar email from Nokia today to verify my N900 order.
He also informed me that due to some warehouse problem with the allocation of the units they also had to cancel and re-place my order (though apparently not losing my place in the queue).

The man on the phone confirmed that they will be receiving them on the 9th, and will ship them that day, so they should be with us sometime that week.
