I agree on the battery life, the numbers are misleading. OTOH, I disagree with the comments on Windows. I am running Win7 with a 3G (EVDO) connection to Sprint on an OQO which is similarly sized. Browsing with the full Firefox browser (with add-ons including Flash and Shockwave) is faster than my N810 (although not as fast as my desktop). It certainly isn't unusable. While I don't use it as a phone it will also handle Skype.
My concern with the xpPhone are several. First the specs I have seen on the CPU are sketchy. AMD Super Mobile CPU is a description, not an AMD product name. Second, while I could handle the size, it is going to be very heavy for a phone. My OQO weighs about the same and it is a noticeable weight (although doable). If I was using it heavily as a phone, I would want a bluetooth headset. I would definitely order the 1GB memory if it is available, 512MB of memory is too small. For XP or Win7 you really need 1GB. Without more memory, I would pass.
