You have yet to be Sheldoned. That's where a thought of yours that was posted gets kind of gang flamed by people who might be much more talented than you. Except, when it is all over with... when you're left lashing out at no one in particular but generalizing so much you offend everyone, you will realize that you weren't flamed at all. What you thought were flames were just people asking questions to clarify what exactly it is you were trying to say. Your answers became more ambiguous because the reality may have been that you have no idea what exactly it is you were trying to say and that prompts even more questions. In the end it was really you alone beating up your own dang self.

... At that point you either become a productive member of this forum community or you eventually just go away.
