The phone(*) aspect is more important than the computer aspect to me, but I still require (and crave! ;-) the ability to run my own open source programs on it, to make it a phone which does other things for me too, the way I want to.

(*) Note that phone includes Skype, SIP, voice chat, etc. these days.... To me, a user, they are ideally just different transports for voice calls of various flavours.

I don't believe Nokia offers any other device than the N900 at this time which fits the bill, even to those of us who'll use it primarily as a phone.

If the E63 ran Maemo I'd probably have bought that already ;-)
