Not followed the whole thread, but it seems to me that this solution (maemovmware) with VirtualBox is a very good option for beginners. I use the same for Windows7. GuessAdditions particularly are recommend installing and runing in IntegratedMode (Host key + L). You can see it on pictures on my blog:

running in the background and the Windows 7 Ultimate in the foreground with VB Maemo5 SDK. Even Copy & Paste works
