It is also kind of a PITA that these android phones require some type of web based account to even 'activate' them. With the G1 you had to either use an existing google account or create one. Not sure how it will be with the droid, but I am sure it is similar if not worse.
Same with the 'motoblur' it is just as much of a service as it is an interface design.
Nokia, I guess, is kind of starting to do this too with Ovi, but at least with their devices you don't HAVE to use the manufacturers or the OS providers web based services just to use the phone.
