About translated greeter signatures... I'm wondering if when reading a German link text ("Wiki Seite für Einsteiger"), wouldn't people expect to be directed to content in German? I mean... they do understand English, otherwise they wouldn't be here in the first place. The do understand if you link to a "Beginners' wiki page" in your signature. Having an additional German link would make me assume it's a distinct German language page.

Or am I making things too complicated?

Also, the signature as it is is quite long, even in its original English version. How about somthing like

Hi! I'm Steve J. and I'm a Maemo Greeter! Welcome.
All you need to know as a newcomer is here on this page.
If I can help with anything else, just ask!
"here on this page" would link to either a wiki page or a static page on maemo.org (or a locked, single-post thread here) that contains all the links... and more.
