Why must concerns about expanding this forums "store front" be boiled down to one label?

The concerns for me have more to do with the time it takes to read new posts and the amount of duplicate threads that are generated now.
How will this get any better with even more sub-fora? ( I ask rhetorical because I'm is sure there is a way when we take into account the effects of our actions.)

There could also be karma complaints to deal with from people objecting to other people simply translating their original posts to other languages and in doing so earning more thanks than the originator.

Translating is a valuable service and making original information available to all should be a goal. However, thanks and any related karma as well as other things should also be considered before such an expansion imho.

...so actually I'm snafuphobic.
