I just ordered from Dell. The first preorder I've placed for the n900. I was probably going to end up waiting for several months anyway because I'm not paying 500+ dollars on a phone. I just can't.

I figure though, that even if I don't like the phone and want to get rid of it, if it sells for $500 on ebay, i'll still be making money on it.

I think a price of $500 would be a sure seller on ebay, considering the n97 launched with a similar price and is STILL fluctuating between 530 and 550 on amazon.
