You only need to do hit the download button in the repository setup once. I'm thinking the functionality should be changed for successive activations after the first.

As far as I remember from my non-GPSed days (pretty much just used it as an extra portable Google Earth-type viewer) it should start at your last location after you start using it.

I should clarify: it's really only useful to have auto-load turned off when you're on the road without a conncetion, as it'll attempt to download maps if you roam out of the cached area. If you're viewing with a connection, auto-download makes things a bit more convenient.

To the best of my knowledge, I don't think it's possible. In any case, I wouldn't worry about those buttons breaking.

If anybody else has any usage issues (usage, not bugs. Those are for the developer) that they can't work out, or had an issue previously that they had trouble getting around, I'll see if I can put together some more guides for you.
