Today, I went to the Flagship store here in Chicago after work and decided I too wanted to finally see in PERSON what I preordered a while ago. So I asked if they had one and they said "No, they're not out yet", and I said I meant a demo unit, and still, didn't have one.
BUT! The intriguing thing? The employee took an N900 out of his pocket and said "well, this is my personal one, but you can play with it for a minute, just don't go through my contacts or texts or anything"
And I LOVED it. It was everything I wanted, in such a short playaround. Everything felt crisp, snappy, and the size was actually really nice.
..Then, the bad news. I asked about a release. First he said "tomorrow", then felt really bad when my eyes lit up and said "..kidding. HOPEFULLY within two weeks. But to be honest man, they won't give us a date because they don't want us calling and *****ing them out when we don't have any phones by the date they promised us. Just keep your fingers crossed, man. It's all you can hope for right now"..
they don't even have a hard date here in the US, or at least won't tell me. And he said two weeks, hopefully
I know it'll be worth it, but damn it I want it nowww!
