Called the flagship store here in Chicago. The conversation went like this:

Me: Hi, did you get in the N900 yet?
Nokia Sales: No, not yet. We don't have any idea at all when it is coming.
Me: Really? Did you know that it was released for shipment today?
NS: In North America?
Me: Ah....I don't know, I was hoping that you'd know.
NS: We don't have any and don't know when we'll get any.
Me: Great. Talk to you soon.


By the way. Everyone is posting that the pre-orders will go out first. I was on the pre-order list for the N97 and then the flagship got it first. I was so pissed that I canceled my order.

I would not bet on pre-order going out before flagships get retail units.
