Yeah, I screwed up a little bit in the release of 1.4.2, so for this version only, the dash-suffixes are "-4" for 770 and "-5" for N800. Like TA-t3 said, though, you don't really need to care about the numbering. Just use the update functionality and it will make sure you have the latest version.

Make sure that you have your bluetooth radio enabled (in the Control Panel). Maemo Mapper needs the bluetooth radio enabled in order to access a bluetooth GPS receiver. For some reason, the bluetooth radio is disabled by default, but it shouldn't disable itself after you have enabled it.
