You can use VMWare Player or Server instead of VMWare workstation (without "bending" license agreements )

Player can be got from here - http://www.vmware.com/products/player/
Server from here - http://www.vmware.com/products/server/

with Server you will need to apply/download a license key.

Server is closer to Workstation than player (Server has more configuration options)
