People in response to the delay devices due to 3 network, Did you know how Hutchinson 3 (3g) work. When they setup their operator they had to partner with another operator usually the best coverage to cater for the GSM part of the network. So in actual fact 3 is just an umbrella of networks in one. Take UK for instance 3g roaming on the 3 is via the 3 network however, if the device drops to 2g e.g. GSM, Hutchinson 3 would have to pay roaming changes to their partnered operater. So if any on you want to screw with 3 and pout them out of business use only 2g network. This only hearsay but this is what I have heard in the industry that I am working in.....

This also coincides with the different type of SIM that 3 uses.
