Just talked to an Amazon manager, she stated for people who pre-ordered the phone, if you call in and tell them about the rebate and how you won't get it because the pre-order date shows up on the invoice, Amazon will cancel your previous order and place a new one, but still honor your locked in price so this way you get the rebate. However you will be at the back of the line for shipping


** She just called me back and said they have the devices and will start shipping either tomorrow or Monday at the latest and should have enough product if I want to cancel my first order and replace it.
