According to Amazon Customer Service, I will be eligible for the rebate, and I will hold them to this!

Hello Davide,

The actual purchase date will be the date we charge your card. This will qualify you for your rebate.

Also your warranty will come in to effect from the purchase date also.

Whenever you pre-order a book, CD, video, DVD, software, or video game, the price we charge when we ship it to you will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.com between the time you placed your order and the release date. If the price changes, you'll see the update (or refund, if your shipment is already being prepared) within 24 hours.

Our Pre-Order Price Guarantee doesn't apply to items (or prices) offered by other sellers on our site.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Please let us know if this e-mail resolved your question:

That email seems questionable. Numerous people, including myself in the 'N900 deliveries have now started thread', emailed Amazon asking the same thing you asked, and we all got the same answer. The date you pre-order it is the date that will be on your invoice as the 'Date of Purchase' not the date in which your card is charged.

If you notice on Amazon receipts their is two dates. The 'Date of Purchase' & 'Date of Shipping'.

Nice email, but I'll stick to what I was told via email, phone plus the other ten people who got the same response as I.
