This is not phone to bring Nokia "back into the market" when Nokia supplies 40% of the global market and 50% of the smart phone market. Rather this is a platform requiring refinement before it will reaches the mass market in the future and eventually replace symbian for nokias high end devices.
Are you talking about technological advances? Because if you are, then you're right on that part--the US however accounts for being Nokia's biggest revenue country so on that part, the US still takes the cake. The US as a State ( EU doesn't count ), also accounts for the most smartphone use per capita. Nokia definitely would like a bigger share of that market here in the US.
