because everyone interprets their reality and the reality can be really far out from the facts. I have only seen an announcement oct 2009 in selected markets, announcement that there is a delay plus an announcement that devices has been shipped from the factory and now about 2 weeks later my device can be in my doorstep in 20 minutes...

the problem is that people read a blog from http://www.myownnokiablog.totallyins...e.yeah.jou.com that devices will ship 10.9.2009. so, it is a promise from nokia. and when those sources are incorrect, nokia is the one to blame.

I see that the only problem with nokia was not to make a contract with suppliers that $100B sanctions will follow if they announce delivery date wrong. that would have coolen down the retailers who probably didn't have any 100% certain info and gave delivery dates wrongly. or didn't make clear enough that those dates are just estimates.

I will get my n900 half a month sooner than my friend got his iphone 3gs when measured time from order to delivery. only difference was that first iphones were shipped wit very small quantities and rest were left waiting.
e: and i ordered as soon as nokia online store finland opened their preorder option (about 5 minutes after that my order was placed)
