I think I'm figuring out some of this stuff, but I still have some issues... Software dependencies (for the most part) are still evading my scope of knowledge... There were a few libs I was able to download, but almost everything I want to install tells me it needs this lib or that lib to install... Where can I find and install these things? (One app in general, GPE Calendar, asks for a bunch of them.)

Also, what do I do if the only downloadable file (Canola let's say) is a tarball? Do I download the file and then untar it on the N800? If so, is there a tar utility that I need to download?

I feel pretty dumb about asking all of this, but I can't seem to find any documentation that is clear about app installations if their not an ARMEL binary.
