Not true.

You get charged a different amount depending on where in the world you are calling from (may not be true if you have a plan where you pay a flat fee per month). For instance I may pay 2 cents per minute here in the US calling my friend's cell phone down the street. If I leave the country and then call my friend, I will pay more per minute depending upon which country I am in. I belive there is a cost list per country on the Skype Website. One other thing. Somewhere I read that at least one phone company in the UK charged nothing for using Skype to call phones.
