Yes.

The hardest part is probably just keeping track of which software packages you have installed and then tracking them down after you flash the firmware. It should be sufficient to write down the list of installed applications listed in the Application Manager. You might also want to write down which repositories you have added, too.

I haven't had any trouble personally, but it's possible. Theoretically, gregale is backward-compatible with scirocco - it's the other way around where you run into problems.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Gnuite. Since I've never flashed to a new Operating system before, please indulge this NooB a few more questions.

Once I upgrade, and re-install my apps, will I be able to import data backed up to my mmc card? For instance, I am using the gpe suite. Will I be able to import my contacts, calander, to do list, etc once I reinstall GPE? What about my Bookmarks?
