I flashed the latest firmware. (-8)
It does not markedly improve things. I disconnect and still see similar messages with dmesg.


Note that flashing the firmware erases installed applications and that those are not backed up on the MMC. So I had to re-install terminal. Although, maybe this is only a problem with the flashing utility for apple.

BTW, thanks to Andrew Flegg for the Cocoa flashing utility (if he evers reads this message).
