Hello all,

as a user of excellent shopping list application for Palm and WM, Handyshopper and also a member of user group for the app I would really like to see it available for other more recent platforms. (the main topics in the mailing list seem to be request a port to other platforms)

So there's an obvious demand for HS on other platforms but for reasons I completely understand the author of HS isn't willing to port or develop it on other platforms.

The database schema and routines have been released as public domain so what is left is to mimic the UI functionality and maybe make enhancements to take advantage of more screen space and processing power of modern devices. The aesthetics can be improved also.

I know about Shopper for Maemo, but based on the website and screenshots it looks simpler and basically just like a list application when HS on the other hand is much more than that. But I haven't used Shopper so please forgive me that I might be wrong.

I hope this possible project gathers interest as it could be a possible killer app for some users.
