Finally, she said she would put me on hold and contact Nokia to see whether the phone had been released. After a few minutes she got back with a slightly different tone.

She now conceded that the phones are sitting in Amazon's warehouse but said that they cannot start shipping them until they receive the release notice from Nokia. She also said that when she spoke to Nokia they said that the phone would not be released until November 30 (which makes sense, considering Newegg's dates). She confirmed that once Amazon would get the release they would start shipping.

She did not know (or at least she didn't say) how many units they have in stock vs. how many outstanding preorders they have. She did say that they were surprised by the volume of preorders.

I guess that's five more days. If nothing happens by Dec. 1 I'm out of here.
So it is Nokia..who screwed up this whole damm delaying. Why the hell they do that..greedy bastards!! As if the phone have not been delaying enough...they ONCE AGAIN want to delay from the retailers...totally uncall for and they have the gut to make the announcement today that they're delaying the sale a week later due to high volume. What the hell this has to do with delaying? You got a bunch of N900 sitting at the warehouse @Amazon...why not ship them. I mean if they're out of supply, then i can understand, but the fact is they're just sitting there because Nokia didn't let them SELL YET!! Totally bullshyt. The reason behind this is greedy bastard like NokiaUSA.com want to sell as many as possible @ a higher price.
