I agree with phreck, all this is very similar to Linux for me in general. I get excited whenever Yum/Apt tell me there is huge *** update to my Linux systems. Sure sometimes things just break but you also get upgrades and new features. I am pretty sure Maemo (N900) experience would be similar as well from what people do so far with the previous NITs.
